Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 2/2/2026

By using this website or booking a service with Hate City Cycles ("The Shop"), you ("The Customer") agree to the following terms. We believe in handshakes, but we put it in writing so there is no confusion later.

1. The Nature of Vintage Repair

You acknowledge that you are bringing us a machine that is likely 40+ years old.

  • Estimates are Estimates: An estimate is our best educated guess based on what we can see. It is not a hard cap. When we open a vintage engine, we often find hidden damage (stripped threads, rust, previous hack-jobs).

  • The "Pandora's Box" Clause: If we discover additional damage that makes the repair unsafe or significantly more expensive, we will stop work and contact you. You agree to pay for the teardown labor incurred up to that point, even if you decide not to proceed with the full repair.

2. Payment Terms

  • Due on Completion: Payment in full is due immediately upon notification that the work is complete.

  • No Credit: We do not offer payment plans, financing, or "IOUs."

  • Methods: We accept [Credit Cards / Cash / Zelle / etc.].

  • Retention of Property: The motorcycle does not leave the property until the invoice is paid in full. No exceptions.

3. Storage Fees & Abandonment

Our shop is small. We are not a storage facility.

  • The 7-Day Rule: Once we notify you that your bike is ready (or that you need to pick it up because you declined a repair), you have 7 days to collect it.

  • The Fee: On Day 8, a storage fee of $25.00 per day begins to accrue.

  • Abandonment: Under Georgia law, if a vehicle is left for more than 30 days without communication or payment, we will file for a Mechanic’s Lien and sell the vehicle to recover our costs. Don’t ghost us.

4. Permission to Operate

By leaving your motorcycle with us, you grant Hate City Cycles and its employees permission to operate the vehicle on public streets for the purpose of testing and inspection. You acknowledge that test rides are necessary to diagnose issues and verify repairs.

5. Warranty & Liability

  • Workmanship: We guarantee our labor. If a repair fails due to our error, we will fix it.

  • Parts: We do not manufacture parts. If a new electronic component fails, that is a manufacturer warranty issue (if applicable). We are not responsible for part failures.

  • Old Parts: We are not responsible for the failure of existing parts we did not touch. (e.g., If we fix your brakes and your 40-year-old clutch cable snaps the next day, that is not our fault).

  • Assumption of Risk: Motorcycling is inherently dangerous. Hate City Cycles is not responsible for any injury, property damage, or loss of life resulting from the operation of your motorcycle after it leaves our shop. You ride at your own risk.

6. Parts Policy

  • No Customer Supplied Parts: We do not install parts you bought online. We source our own parts to ensure quality and fitment.

  • Removed Parts: All old parts removed from your bike will be discarded unless you explicitly ask to keep them at the time of drop-off.

7. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

  • We do not work on modern sportbikes, Harley-Davidsons, or Chinese scooters.

  • If a bike is deemed "unsafe to repair" (e.g., severe frame rot), we will decline the job for your safety and ours.

8. Media Release

We take pride in our work. You agree that Hate City Cycles may take photographs or video of your motorcycle for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. We will never share your license plate number or personal information.
